In this thread we will discuss why we decided to start animating again.. if you're from the old era of pivot wrestling then this is aimed at you.
I only came back because of old memories I had while watching a random animation on yt. I'm not sure if I'll go back to animating but chances are I just want to catch up with a couple of people and then maybe post here and there.

Last year, when Nuke passed it kind of made me reflect on all the fun I've had chatting, animating, and competing with people like Nuke, Skink, Alex, yourself...the list goes on and on. I recently got a new laptop so I figured why not download pivot again. So, I logged on to WF and started chatting with skink. Btw, looking back at my inbox was a bit depressing. So many messages from Nuke asking about my return. A couple years would go by and he'd still send me messages. I used to reply all the time about how I wanted to return but couldn't, because I didn't have access to my own computer. All I had was mobile. I'm still amazed at how it seemed like quite a few animators returned within the couple day span surrounding Nelson's death.
Fastforward a year and here I am. I didn't want to try and grow the WF stick ani board anymore. The admin there LLLBD fought Jack to the nail to get me to Mod the board, but Jack said no because of a half-decade year old warning bar. Now they're going to merge the figure ani and stick ani boards together as one. RIP Pivot on WF. That's why I started the subreddit. But the limitations on reddit are a pain in the ass. So here we are.

Didn't think I'd animate again, but my internet was off, so I said what the hell, and opened up pivot. Went on WF some time later, and noticed the new site. I liked the idea of reviving pivot again, and thought if anyone, Tylor could probably pull it off, so I joined.

I from way back when. We started on WF when it just had a thread in the animations board, and were using the original pivot. Found some old animations, figured I'd see if there was any activity in the board. Here we are.

A mix of a few things tbh,
Received an email last week sometime about this place, found an old diary around the same time and 80% of it is talking about my love of pivot and how well my forum was doing and then finally, just the nostalgia, it used to be a lot of fun doing pivot, the fun has faded over time but i'm not completely finished yet, I got some pivots in me.
The sad truth about pivot is that the community will never be as big as it was years ago and it sucks, but nothing can be done about it. I think the stars aligned way back when and that's why it was so popular, I discovered pivot from an IRL friend telling me about it, like, what are the chances that one of my friends is like "yo man pivot is sum good shit brah", I think actual WWE has a lot to do with that too though, in 2006/7 WWE was a lot better than it is right now, so that could have been a factor.

Pretty much a message sent from Zick. (If you don't know me, those were some old names I had: Mr. K, The Freakshow, Wrestling Prophet, Buzzsaw etc.)
Why I returned? I'm not quite sure if I will animate at all, but since I have time for now and animating can be a good time spent (even tho my anims weren't good at all, I had the support from all kind of people).
